Last piece of the Puzzle
Up until the release of “The Missing Link” DLC, the story of Deus Ex: Human Revolution had a few loop holes. It seems like the Eidos and Square planned to have the player confused about certain parts of the game, and they planned to fix all of that with the DLC.
A genius idea if you ask me.
Slight Spoiler
At the end of the game, you were left wondering where those chicks strapped into and powering those computers came from. Well this is the entire back story of them, explained during those 3 days that was kept hidden between Hengsha and Singapore.
You meet new characters along the way some good and bad, even though you start the DLC off thinking it’s you against ALL of them.
This DLC really adds a lot to the story and the game. It fits well into the deus ex scene, because you will want to play in multiple times.
Also if you’re a fan of the old Deus Ex games, keep an ear on some of the guards talking, there’s some ear candy for ya!
Achievements
If you’re an achievement hunter like a few of us here at OddCastShow, they’ve added quite a few for this DLC. 10 for 250 GS to be exact. The most popular and the toughest one best the “Factory Zero” achievement. “You survived The Missing Link using no Praxis kits, weapons, or explosives. Whoa.” Yea…that’s right. Use absolutely nothing but take downs and energy bars to get by. Hint: throwing boxes or even just pressing the shoot or secondary weapon button voids the achievement…I learnt that the hard way…
Bigger Spoiler
Here are some tips for those achievement hunters out there:
Factory Zero: Explained above. Also, any upgrade, regardless of whether you use them, will also void this achievement.

Secret Achievements
Out of the frying pan: Story based.
Good Samaratin: Replace the power supply of the damaged stasis pod. It’s on the same level of the room with all the stasis pods. It’s in a room behind a wall of boxes where you can only move one box. You have to crawl under the gap and jump over the next box to find it.
Back Stage Pass: When Quinn gives you access to his shop, go to the back of the room and move the two boxes next to the computer. Press the newly exposed button and bam! Achievement and secret stash!
The Learn’d Scholar: Find all the data storage devices and place them on the holographic tables in the secret research facility. 1 is in the maze of halls after the 2nd big room in the factory, in a room that has a guard sitting at a desk, this room is next to a hall with lasers and a guard right at the turn; 2 is in the last room on the right in the hallway just before the elevator that takes you the the facility; and the 3rd one is in the facility itself.
All of the above: (You will need the heavy lifting and the high jump aug) When given the choice of who to save, leave the room and there’s a big crate on the base floor at a corner blocking a vent. Move this go through the vent, there is a weapon upgrade here. High jump up to the ledge and there is another vent that leads you to a room with a device with green tubes. Shoot the green tube and feel good about saving everyone.
Never forget: Find the stasis pod you where found in. Not entirely sure where this is. But it’s in a room with a bunch of crates.
That Old Adage: Use your CASIE aug during your final convo with Quinn.
Apex Predator: Perform a take down on Burke with him seeing you coming. The best way to do this is the max your invisibility, drop in from the hole if the roof and do a takedown from behind Burke. (I actually just dropped in ran up to him and did a takedown from behind him and I still got the achievement without any augs). NOTE: if you’re doing the Factory Zero achievement, save before you upgrade any augs.
Happy Hunting =)
